WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Vice President** – **Fire and Life Safety (FLS)** to be located in the **Denver, CO** office. ** **

This opportunity provides leadership and growth of the FLS Team in the Denver market. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing new opportunities with existing clients, developing new client relationships, leading multi-disciplinary project delivery as project manager/point of contact, developing FLS strategic plan initiatives to promote the growth of the FLS practice both financially and staff-wise in the greater Colorado areas, and developing a full understanding and competency of the WSP financial systems.

The ideal candidate will be a recognized leader in the fire and life safety industry, demonstrating technical expertise and leadership capabilities. Further, they will ensure that office deliverables are consistent and are delivered with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.

Your Impact

+ Oversees the development and progress of local FLS team in the greater Colorado area.

+ Responsible design authority for Fire Protection within the area in accordance with WSP USA standards and guidelines.

+ Responsible for regional business development which should focus on FLS and include other WSP services whenever possible.

+ Acts as a mentor for staff to assist in the development of their leadership, technical knowledge, project management capabilities, and familiarity with WSP policies and systems.

+ Schedules and organizes local team meetings, as well as regular training opportunities.

+ Accountable for the profitability and financial management of FLS projects for the office.

+ Regularly initiates marketing activities and leads marketing presentations.

+ Project management of large projects and projects for key clients.

+ Acts as project manager on projects involving multiple service lines.

+ Demonstrates understanding and management of client’s expectations for project goals, budget and schedules

+ Responsibility for project accounting including budget monitoring, profitability, contract negotiations and timely resolution with clients.

+ Has full responsibility and accountability for maintaining a portfolio of clients.

+ Develops objectives to increase business with selected clients.

+ Client networking, follow up on leads, follow-up participation in marketing meetings, strategy sessions, etc.

+ Promotes all of WSP’s service offerings when interacting with clients or potential clients.

+ Prepares proposals and responses to RFPs and participates at proposal presentations.

+ Has full responsibility and accountability for client satisfaction and maintaining a steady level of repeat business.

+ Delegates work properly to senior and non-senior staff; manages and coordinates the work.

+ Ability to mentor staff on a project basis and assure continued advancement of staff from project to project. Identifying and mentoring future Project Leaders.

+ Takes active role in industry events and in professional organizations.

+ Lead designs for fire and life safety systems projects.

+ Coordination and integration of fire and life safety systems with other building systems.

Who You Are

**Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related discipline required; Master’s degree preferred

+ P.E. License is required

+ At least 10 years’ experience in supervisory and project management capacity.

+ 12+ years of experience or equivalent fire and life safety consulting experience and qualifications

+ Experience in various types and sizes of projects including healthcare, science and technology, healthcare, high rise commercial office and high-end high rise residential, hospitality, educational and mission critical.

+ Experience and proven ability to manage projects and team in a fire consultancy environment

+ Strong working knowledge of building and fire codesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present information to clients.

+ Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.

+ Extensive experience in working directly with clients.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $146,000 - $210,000

A Project Manager is a licensed professional responsible for project performance in terms of profit, quality, and client satisfaction. The role caries the responsibility of guiding the development of architectural designs and carrying them through construction documentation and contract administration phases. The role primarily involves management of the internal team and external consultants while working with the principal in charge in interfacing with the client. A Project Manager is expected to have broad experience and knowledge. This is a leadership role that requires oversight, guidance and mentoring of others.

**Your Key Responsibilities**

+ Responsible for assisting with complex tasks on medium to large size projects.

+ Assist with planning, organizing, and directing the work throughout the life of the project to successfully deliver the project to the client.

+ Set project expectations, deadlines, and deliverables.

+ Deliver great design work that is rooted in sustainable, functional, and efficient solutions.

+ Manage the client and project team to ensure that the project design meets the client budget, schedule, program, and design intent.

+ Assist the Project Principal and Stantec Legal team in the negotiation and development of project agreements.

+ Manage the project budget, schedule, and overall work plan to realize target financial performance.

+ Mentor Assistant Project Managers and junior project architect while motivating project teams.

+ Assure that Project Management Framework tasks are timely completed and properly documented.

+ Lead project coordination and owner/site meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor and sub-contractors.

+ Manage and track change orders, applications for payment by contractors and other contractual modifications impacting budget and schedule.

+ Oversee preparation of documentation in various architectural phases including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, details, models, and renderings.

+ Oversee selection of building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) and associated documentation.

+ Conduct field observation acting as an agent of the client and report progress of construction to the client.

+ Determine staffing needs and recommend personnel.

+ Ability to oversee development of building documentation in modeling/drafting software (Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD)

+ Ability to check work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage team to meet project budget and schedule.

+ Project related travel across the US is required and will vary depending on project locations and project requirements.

+ Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Newforma; Prefer experience with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp

+ Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

**Education and Experience**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field required.

+ Minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably on small to large public Transit, Public Work, and Municipal/Utility projects.

+ Architectural license required.

+ LEED AP preferred.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Overview **This position is contingent upon award of contract** SOSi is seeking a Deputy Program Manager at Fort Huachuca, AZ in support of a large, mission-critical IT services and support program with continuous (24x7) operations. The Deputy Program Manager (DPM) reports to the Program Manager (PM) who is responsible for all program management, technical requirements, performance quality, and overall customer satisfaction associated with the contract. The DPM serves as back-up to the PM concerning all phases of daily contract performance. Essential Job Duties Serve as backup to the PM as the Government’s principal point of contact for all technical, operational and process teams supporting the program mission. Oversee the technical operations of the contract and be responsible for activities related to Cybersecurity, Service Management, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control. Be responsible for the cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of the program. Leads all cybersecurity compliance activities and collaborates with Sustainment Division Chief for program-wide compliance. Support all planning, coordinating, and organizing the activities of administrative, program control, and technical personnel involved in providing services in fulfillment of the contract. Possess a thorough knowledge and experience in the complete lifecycle of IT systems, as well as NETCOM policies and TTPs.
