The Space Systems Sector is seeking an experienced Staff Systems Engineer to join a Ground Segment team as the **SEIT Lead in Aurora, CO.** The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Integration and Test, along with a comprehensive understanding of ground system specifications, interfaces, processing platforms, virtualized compute infrastructure requirements, and Integration and Testing strategies. This role requires the ability to define, adapt, integrate, test, and deploy ground software applications and manage mission data across virtualized and distributed infrastructure.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

+ Direct the execution of the overall systems engineering, integration, and test (SEIT) effort on the program.

+ Plan and execute the systems engineering core functions and oversee system configuration management of the System Technical Baseline.

+ Ensure horizontal and vertical integration across all engineering elements of the program, including program integration, testing, and verification and validation efforts.

+ Maintain the integrity of systems engineering and integration and test processes, ensuring the timely development of core systems engineering and integration and test work products.

+ Interface with key stakeholders such as the Program Manager, Chief Engineer, I&T Lead, Element Leads, and the customer.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 14 years of relevant experience; 12 years with a Master's degree; 10 years with a PhD

+ This position requires a current/active TS/SCI and the willingness to take a CI poly

+ Experience leading technical teams

+ Experience in software systems development, software integration and test.

+ Experienced with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines

+ Strong Leadership and Communication skills

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Proficiency with systems engineering tools and techniques, including model-based systems engineering tools such as Cameo, Confluence, Bitbucket, and DOORS for requirements management.

+ Experience in multiple aspects of the engineering process, from proposal and requirements analysis through verification testing.

+ Substantial experience in a Systems Engineering Integration & Test environment for remote sensing space systems, particularly within the defense industry.

+ Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

+ Strong work ethics and proven leadership skills in an integrated product team (IPT) environment.

+ Experience with satellite systems, ground architecture, and cloud computing architectures.

+ Current CI Poly or Full Scope Poly (FSP).

Salary Range: $188,200.00 - $282,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
