What You'll Do:
Your day will be filled with purpose as you:
Supervise and engage with children in a safe, nurturing learning environment
Assist in creating and preparing fun, educational activities
Support children with basic needs including diapering, potty-training, and meals
Help develop healthy routines and habits in children
Assist with classroom assessments and curriculum planning
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized classroom
Build strong relationships with families and communicate daily updates
Welcome and collaborate with visitors, volunteers, and team members
Participate in required staff training (20+ hours annually) and agency events
Ensure all documentation meets Phoenix Day and state agency requirements
Contribute to a team that values growth, learning, and compassionate care
Orientation Requirement
All new team members attend orientation during their first week:
Location: HR Campus, Mesa, AZ
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Early release may be granted upon completion of orientation. Please note: evenings/weekend orientation is not available.
Who You Are:
You’re someone who loves working with children and is ready to bring patience, energy, and creativity to the classroom.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of six DES Health & Safety training modules (or equivalent)
At least 6 months of experience in a licensed early childhood setting
Other Requirements:
Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Must be at least 18 years old
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
39-month motor vehicle record
