Nurturing Parenting Program Practitioner
Hourly Pay Rate: $20.00
Location: Maricopa County, AZ
Schedule: Flexible, based on family needs – part-time and full-time positions available

A New Leaf is seeking compassionate and committed Nurturing Parenting Program Practitioners (NPP) to empower families involved with the Department of Child Safety (DCS). Using a trauma-informed, culturally competent approach, you’ll deliver parenting education that helps families develop safe, nurturing homes for their children. This is your chance to make a real impact in your community—one family at a time.
Your Role at a Glance
• Provide one-on-one parenting education using the Nurturing Parenting Program curriculum
• Meet with families up to 2 hours per week to build and strengthen parenting skills
• Observe and document parent-child interactions during supervised visits and home observations
• Complete detailed, confidential documentation of all contacts and activities
• Partner closely with DCS caseworkers, attending team meetings and submitting regular reports
• Serve families across Maricopa County, working in homes and community settings
• Work flexible hours—including evenings and weekends, as needed by families

Required Orientation
Our New Hire Orientation takes place during your first week of employment:
Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM at our HR Campus in Mesa, AZ
Early release may be granted upon completion of all orientation requirements. Please note: orientation is not available during evenings or weekends.
Qualifications
We offer three levels based on education and experience:
• NPP I: High school diploma or GED + at least 2 years of experience in the child welfare field
• NPP II: Associate degree in Human Services (or related field) + 2 years of experience
• NPP III: Associate degree in Human Services (or related field) + over 2 years of experience
Required Knowledge & Skills:
• Strong understanding of family dynamics, child development, and family-centered services
• Experience working with multi-problem families and accessing community resources
• Training or background in trauma-informed care, cultural competency, substance abuse, child abuse/neglect, and mediation
Other Requirements
• Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Current auto liability insurance
• Clean 39-month motor vehicle record
• Must be 21 years or older
• Must pass regular, random drug testing
