Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS), a leader in software defined, hardware enabled systems for national defense applications, is developing a next-generation Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system for Engineering, Manufacturing product, Global Supply Chain, and process data. This system will be the foundation of our digital transformation and the future of advanced Engineering, Manufacturing, and Global Supply Chain business capabilities and automation within the company, including Model-Based Engineering, Additive Manufacturing, and Cross-Discipline Collaboration. As a member of the PLM Leadership Team you will be participating in the development effort for the PLM system in close collaboration with Enterprise Services/CIDO, Engineering, Manufacturing, and senior business leadership to deliver an integrated PLM system that meets cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
We are seeking a qualified candidate to lead our software development team in utilizing Teamcenter software effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Teamcenter software, possess strong leadership skills, have proven project management experience, and excel in communication.
The PLM Software Development Manager will support the configuration of Teamcenter throughout Northrop Grumman as the PLM Solution. As the functional manager you will require a strong management approach, an ability to understand technical details necessary to lead this important service offering, and strong team-building skills. The selected applicant will need the ability to interface with all levels of management, interfacing with sector Vice Presidents, their staff, sector program managers, and executive leadership. Other responsibilities will include developing program plans and milestones and successfully delivering on them, ensuring development and deployment processes are documented and followed, and building a diverse development and DevSecOps team with Teamcenter configuration and deployment experience.
The candidate selected for this position will be required to work on-site 1 to 2 days per week, at one of the following Northrop Grumman campuses: Baltimore, MD, San Diego, CA, Woodland Hills, CA, or Rolling Meadows, IL; the selected candidate will have the option of working remotely 2 to 3 days per week.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
+ Oversee software development projects using the Teamcenter platform.
+ Manage a geographically distributed/virtual team of developers, providing guidance and support.
+ Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify and onboard talent.
+ Ensure project deadlines are met and deliverables are completed per plan.
+ Collaborate with other Northrop Grumman PLM projects to align with organizational goals.
+ Maintain high-quality software standards and ensure compliance with best practices.
+ Establish software policy and enforce accountability to meeting standards.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Master's degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with 9 years of relevant experience.
+ Strong leadership abilities to lead and motivate a team of developers.
+ Prior experience as a Teamcenter Enterprise or Teamcenter software developer, including Siemens Integrated Toolkit and Service Oriented Architecture APIs, Workflow configuration, and Active Workspace customization.
+ Understanding of Siemens Business Modeler Integrated Development Environment (BMIDE).
+ Knowledge of Development, Security, and Operations concepts and different methods of deploying Teamcenter configurations.
+ In-depth knowledge of Teamcenter Data model, Workflow Design, ITK, and Applications.
+ Proficiency conducting Root Cause Analysis and implementing Corrective Action.
+ Functional knowledge of Teamcenter Java SOA APIs and server-side customization.
+ Understanding of Web-based application development.
+ Experience leading technical teams with diverse backgrounds.
+ Experience with complex Product Lifecycle Management Systems, especially Teamcenter applications.
+ The candidate selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance as a condition of continued employment.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Previous experience as a Systems or Software Development Manager supervising PLM developers.
+ 5 years of Teamcenter or Teamcenter Enterprise experience as a solution architect and/or developer.
+ Knowledge of software versioning and how it relates to Teamcenter development processes in an enterprise environment.
+ Experience with Agile development processes and tools.
+ General understanding of the Software Lifecycle Process, end user support, and process documentation.
+ Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
+ Experience with Agile and SAFe methodology.
+ Current DoD Secret security clearance.
Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
