**Financial Analyst - Decision Support / Financial Plan**

**Northridge Hospital Medical Center**

Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented **Financial Analyst** to join our Decision Support / Financial Plan Department. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities for various departments within the hospital. You will work closely with department managers and senior leadership to provide valuable insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.

**Responsibilities**

+ Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis against budget and forecast, specifically related to hospital operations.

+ Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning initiatives for the hospital.

+ Analyze financial data related to patient revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.

+ Support the annual budgeting process, working with department managers to develop realistic and achievable budgets that align with the hospital's strategic goals.

+ Assist with the month-end closing process, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.

+ Prepare presentations and reports for management, summarizing key financial information and providing actionable insights.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical departments, revenue cycle, and supply chain, to gather data and insights for financial analysis.

+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and budgeting processes.

+ Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed, such as cost-benefit analyses, ROI calculations, and new service line evaluations.

+ Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.

**Qualifications**

+ Minimum of 1 to 2 years of analytical and accounting experience.

+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.

+ Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and General Ledger (GL) processes.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, data validation).

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify key trends.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

**Pay Range**

$35.13 - $50.94 /hour
