**About this role:**
Wells Fargo is seeking a Control Management Senior Manager responsible for partnering with the Global Payments & Liquidity business to identify, assess, manage and mitigate current and emerging risk exposures resulting from business operations.
The Senior Manager leads a team responsible for supporting the design and implementation of risk mitigation strategies and controls consistent with the Wells Fargo Risk Framework. Responsibilities include assessing and aggregating risks, evaluating, reporting on results and escalating where necessary. Crucial to this role is a collaborative leader capable of initiating action, driving outcomes, and managing change in a fast-paced environment leveraging strong relationship management, influencing, strategy and execution skills.
The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement while having the ability to make timely and difficult decisions. The successful candidate will have ability to distill complex concepts, businesses, and processes across multiple teams into simplified and targeted solutions while communicating those concepts effectively and ensuring that all deliverables are met. They will use process and analytic skills to identify business risks and build effective and strategic control recommendations.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Manage and develop a team of control specialists and officers in accomplishing goals and priorities associated with the functional area
+ Engage and influence business heads, legal, second line risk, and audit associated with the function, or who are affected by its outcomes
+ Identify and recommend Business Controls opportunities for process improvement and risk control development by managing and directing teams on strategy and execution of activities
+ Interact directly with relevant business groups
+ Develop and guide a culture of Business Controls talent development to meet business objectives and strategies
+ Provide expert review and advice on control design and performance, issues management and risk identification and assessment, both within a formal RCSA program as well as in response to business- as-usual changes in the supported business
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 6+ years of Risk Management or Business Controls experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 3+ years of management or leadership experience
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Experience in Risk and Control Assessments, Business Process Management, Issue Management, and Risk Reporting, & Analytics
+ Experience in designing effective controls, including testing design and performance
+ Meaningful knowledge across enterprise risk management framework
+ Understanding of best-practice risk management techniques across financial services industry, including development of key risk indicators
+ Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and build relationships within the business and enterprise risk management functions
+ Proven leadership and project management skills to drive alignment across stakeholder groups to develop and deliver repeatable end-to-end risk management solutions and controls aligned with business/customer processes
+ Strong analytical ability used to identify risks and confidently raise issues, escalate early and engage in constructive credible challenge and will do so independently when necessary
+ Proven ability to proactively manage and resolve conflict and effectively defend decisions with objective rationale
+ Effective coaching style to develop and team members and elevate and mature holistic team performance

**Pay Range**
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
