This role requires a hands-on leader with strong organization and leadership skills to oversee a team of material handlers and ensure smooth warehouse operations. Duties/Responsibilities: Oversee a team of material handlers, providing guidance and training Coordinate daily activities and assign tasks Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and ensure accuracy Conduct regular stock checks Oversee the operation of material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks Collaborate with other departments as needed to improve warehouse efficiency Promote a safe work environment Qualifications Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Must possess a valid certification for operating a standup forklift or successfully complete company provided training with the designated timeframe. Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a material handling role with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials up to 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods of time Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting Knowledge/Skills: Good problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Physical/Environmental Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
