Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 370-bed not-for-profit Level 2 Trauma Center located in Carmichael California serving the areas of north Sacramento County and south Placer County for more than 50 years. **Responsibilities**

**Per Diem Registered Nurse CSICU**

Join our nationally renowned state of the art 6-bed Cardiac Surgery/Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit and be part of a Cardiac Surgery program headed by the largest and busiest Cardiothoracic group in Northern California. The staff in the CSICU is comprised entirely of RNs with training in post-operative Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) recovery and certified in managing patients on Intra Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP). We are also a Neuroscience and Stroke Certified Center and our nurses’ care for complex neurological patients such as postoperative neurosurgery patients requiring EVD placement and ICP management and brain edema treatment protocols.

Position Summary:

The incumbent provides coordinates and directs care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. The nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge. Each RN is responsible for collaborating with members of the healthcare team providing leadership personal/professional development and conducting him/herself professionally.

**Qualifications**

Minimum:

+ Current California RN License required

+ 1 year RN experience in critical care at an acute care hospital and experience in cardiac surgery recovery

+ Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications

+ Other certifications may be required

**Pay Range**

$82.89 - $82.89 /hour
