Lead IT Systems Engineer

Honeywell Advanced Connected sustainability Technologies is currently hiring an Sr. IT Engineer to join their team in Broomfield, CO.

This role will be responsible for identifying and implementing end-to-end IT infrastructure solutions to meet the IT demands of various ACST business and engineering teams. These solutions range from completely isolated or air-gapped systems to larger limited-access networks accessible from other ACST sites, and finally to integration of services provided by the Honeywell Enterprise IT groups. This role also provides mentoring/direction to and support of the ACST IT Operations Support staff who perform much of the day-to-day management of IT services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Hands-on role requiring expert experience supporting all aspects of a typical business technology stack

+ Research and identify IT solutions and technologies that put ACST in the best position to respond to current and future business demands.

+ Drive compliance through patching and best practices.

+ Identify and implement isolation and monitoring of systems and networks.

+ Provide mentoring and problem escalation support to IT Operations Support staff.

+ Support backup and disaster recovery efforts.

+ Assure that data protections (availability, integrity, authorization, access, and encryption) are identified and implemented.

+ Maintain a relationship with key ACST system users to become/stay aware of system issues in need of attention or needs that should be considered for future enhancements.

US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMETNS

U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing.

YOU MUST HAVE

+ 5 +years of experience in building, operating, supporting and securing computing and networking services

+ 2 + years of experience with enterprise VMware virtualization technologies

+ 5+ years experience in Windows and Linux domain administration

+ Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field

+ Scripting and task automation

+ Execution against aggressive timelines and ability to deliver on challenging commitments, as well as quickly changing priorities

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Demonstrates advanced problem-solving capabilities

+ Trouble-shooting, problem-solving and incident management within complex network environments

+ Knowledge of network security concepts

+ Cooperative attitude and flexible approach to a wide variety of situations

+ Ability to create, update and maintain technical documentation

+ Ability to work independently as a self-starter, as well as in a team

+ Security+, CISSP, CCNA Security, PCNSA/PCNSE or other security-related certifications highly preferred

+ Be willing to occasionally work after hours

The annual base salary range for this position is $118k - $147k. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
