**Where You Will Work **
In operation since 2007, Safford operations is a zero-discharge facility and one of the most sustainable mines in the United States. The operation’s commitment to utilizing advanced technologies and sustainable practices strongly emphasizes safety and environmental stewardship. Located in southeastern Arizona, close to more than 4 million acres of national forest, employees and their families can connect with the great outdoors while fishing, rafting, hiking and more. Several educational institutions also are nearby, including a Northern Arizona University satellite campus, Eastern Arizona College, and the Gila Institute for Technology.
**Description**
Under general supervision, manages all technical documentation for Engineering. Establishes control systems for document management. Performs regular audits on corporate documents, file validation and document controlling standards. Creates and implements operating procedures for the submission of documents. Acts as a technical editor for key engineering documents such as feasibility studies, AFE’s and RFP’s (requests for proposal)
+ Responsible for the document control of incoming and outgoing documents between the corporate office, job sites and vendors.
+ Manages technical documentation and assists in establishing and implementing publishing standards compliance.
+ Responsible for technical editing of key documents such as feasibility studies, AFE’s,RFP’s, RFQ’s, vendor specifications and standards. Works with the relevant engineering groups to deliver a consistent and specific style throughout all technical documents and communications.
+ Accountable for electronic and manual control record updates, manages the release of documents, notifies affected departments, and maintains related files.
+ Spearheads reporting and internal communication
+ Performs other duties as required
+ Works on moderately complex issues, implements solutions through individual effort but may delegate more routine tasks to others
+ Often collaborates with managers and/or functional or site leaders and has some interaction with external colleagues
+ Works under moderate supervision and has some latitude to set objectives, priorities, and timelines that may impact department or individual work group
+ Has no budget responsibility
+ Manages a function or specific program(s) or project(s) but no people.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ High School Diploma or GED and nine (9) years of related experience, **OR**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Business Administration or related field and five (5) years of related experience
+ Must have experience producing user manual, requirements documentation, and test documentation
+ Strong (oral and written) communication and documentation skills
+ Must operate independently on tight schedules without placing excess demands on developers or analysts.
+ Must be a self-starter, quick learner and highly productive
+ Must have expert knowledge of standard Microsoft Office products.
+ Strong business ethics
+ Ability to work with general office equipment such as a personal computer and keyboard, facsimile machines and photocopier
+ Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
+ Experience with Aconex Construction Project Management Software
**What We Offer You**
The estimated pay range for this role is currently **$30.00 - $41.00/hour** . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
