The Machine Operator I will perform all processing steps necessary for the flow of product through the Kiln work cell; ensure product quality and adherence to appropriate processing standards; assist and instruct other departmental employees as directed.

This role is based at our facility in Tucson, AZ. The 1st shift schedule is 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

You will have the opportunity to:

+ Comply with all PPE and job- or area-specific workplace safety requirements

+ Properly use lockout/tagout procedures

+ Test fire and check pressed parts, dye check parts to determine quality and make necessary adjustments

+ Work effectively with QC/QA personnel to improve output capability and quality

+ Competently operate all essential machines and/or equipment in the work cell

+ Identify and actively participate in continuous improvements of safety, quality, and production

The OT program is a four-year training program consisting of instructor led, self-study, and on-the-job training requiring progression steps through Operations Specialist.

Experienced Combined Cycle power plant Operator. Preferably with GE 7FA combustion turbines and GE D11 steam turbines. Experienced with GE Mark VIe turbine control system and Foxboro balance of plant control system is highly preferred.

Must possess the appropriate valid Arizona driver’s license.

**Job Title: Electrical & Automation Technician**

Nestlé is expanding our factory network and introducing a new manufacturing facility designed with the climate in mind. Our Glendale, Arizona production factory is a brand new, state-of-the-art facility and distribution center with cutting-edge technology and advanced systems designed with sustainability at the forefront. Innovative water recycling processes, zero waste to landfill, and fully recyclable product packaging made from food-safe materials are just some of the programs we’ve implemented to support Nestlé’s ambition for zero environmental impact by 2030. **SCHEDULE**

This position will require working on a 2/2/3, 12-hour night shift schedule. The night shift schedule is from 6:00pm - 6:30am. The schedule pattern is summarized below:

**WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:**

+ Execute real time trouble shooting and problem solving with maintenance /Operations team and follow-up on issues to ensure that they are completed and that the issues are addressed. Participate in Preventative maintenance completion as needed

+ Support maintenance troubleshooting and line maintenance as needed

+ Ensure accurate documentation of all electrical and automation platforms, equipment and unplanned machine stops

+ Analyze performance data to improve electrical and automation equipment unplanned stops

+ Participate in Pillar Activities, AWG, MWG, IWG, and maintaining KPI’s

**REQUIREMENTS:**

+ High school diploma or GED required

+ Associate degree/technical certificate in related field and/or 3-5 years of equivalent experience. Manufacturing experience preferred

+ Experience with automation systems for building, facility, Packaging. utility, and process controls preferred

+ Experience with PLC Pro Software – Studio 5000 and/or Siemens Software – TIA Portal, machine motion control programming like servos and VFD’s is preferred

+ Experience with HMI systems, preferably Allen-Bradley FactoryTalk View

**SKILLS:**

+ Troubleshoot PLC’s, their control panels and associated hardware

+ Troubleshoot HMI systems

+ Assist with commissioning of PLC and HMI programs

+ Troubleshoot and program variable frequency drive motors, servo motors

+ Interpret electrical schematics and complex safety circuit networks

+ Troubleshoot electrical circuits from motor starter to load, including three phase 480 VAC, 120 VAC, and 24 VDC control and power systems

+ Basic troubleshooting of messaging from production floor equipment to-and-from the networked systems (Historian)

**Key Responsibilities**

Can safely operate all machines in the shop performing very complex operations in producing prototype parts, production parts, modifications and repairs to existing parts and assemblies, and/or fabricating parts from steels, stainless steels, aluminum, plastics and other non-metals.

Supports in-house customers, such as manufacturing, engineering, business units, direct/indirect materials, and facilities. Portrays a customer service approach. Interfaces effectively and courteously with customers.

Utilizes Work Orders, blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions to determine machining process, procedures, tooling and fixtures requirements.

Performs a variety of machining and/or assembly tasks utilizing standard machine shop equipment, such as surface grinders, drill presses, grinders, sanders, band saws, rotary table, and/or standard band and power tools.

Plans and performs very complex machine set-ups. Possesses an advanced working knowledge of trigonometry, which is required to accurately calculate angles used in set-ups and machining. Makes full use of machine capacity to minimize amount of machining or number of set-ups required to product parts competitively.

Performs machining operations, such as milling, turning, facing, boring, chasing single and multiple external and internal threads, drilling, grooving, reaming and chamfering. Monitor machines and verify that part dimensions conform to specifications.

Performs visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications. Uses calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and other inspection tools. Performs rework as necessary.

Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss. Conforms to departmental safety requirements

**Other Requirements:** This is a very physically demanding position that often requires standing for extended periods of time, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, the use of hand and power tools, and driving or operating heavy machinery including forklifts.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
