    Antenna Technology Communications, Inc. (ATCI) is looking for a Field Service Engineer/Technician to join their Engineering Department! Our Field Technicians are based in Chandler Arizona and travel to job sites all over the United States as well as the entire world!

    ATCi Field Teams work with our customers ranging from cable and broadcast television operators to military clients, installing and servicing satellite antennas.

    The ideal candidate is computer literate with an understanding of AC\DC electrical power; knowledge of basic construction techniques, processes and equipment; Knowledge of radio signaling\communications and or Military experience is a plus.
    ATCi’s Field Service Technicians are multi-talented technical resources who address a wide and ever-changing variety of satellite-antenna-related field work. We provide all training and support to develop the right candidate.
    All work on this team is both foreign and domestic - including per diem and travel bonus.

    Job Highlights:
    Simulsat antenna installations and service
    Parabolic antenna installations and service
    Learn to work with specialized equipment and tools to optimize satellite antennas.
    Troubleshoot antenna performance issues (including terrestrial interference)
    Decommission antenna systems (take down and dispose of)
    Participate in and conduct Site Surveys for prospective new build sites
    Lead customer training on Simulsats, parabolic antenna service (including Receiver\Controllers, and Spectrum Analyzers.)
    Job Site Lead: lead a crew of 4 workers on antenna installation jobs (usually customer employees, sometimes temporary labor).
    Work with heavy equipment like Cranes, Manlifts etc..
    Install Antenna heat systems, beacon lights, and lightning systems

    Qualification Requirements:
    Must have the ability to travel safely with up to 3 bags (and tool boxes that weigh 50 lbs each).
    Must have availability to be on road approximately 165 days in a year.
    Must have ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions.
    Must have the ability to work with heavy equipment and follow all OSHA safety protocols.
    Must have the ability to work at various heights on man-lifts and ladders.
    Must be a United States Citizen.
    Associates degree or previous experience preferred.

    Leads team responsible for installations, modifications, repairs, maintenance of voice, data and video cabling systems under direction and supervision of Department Manager. Surveys installation areas to determine work methods, tools, materials, etc.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Manages day-to-day planning, operation and problem-solving to ensure team meets required level of service.

    Supervises installation of Category 3, Category 5, Enhanced Category 5, Category 6 and Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems.

    Leads efforts in installation of outlets, pulling cable, fire stopping and pre-termination including organizing, forming, dressing and labeling cables to industry standards.

    Provides updates on projects to assigned Project Manager and Department Manager.

    Performs site surveys, reads and uses blueprints and floor plans and conducts visual site inspections.

    Performs and supervises work in retrofit and new construction environments and implements cut-overs.

    Demonstrates knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies, cabling standards and components.

    Attends training and safety meetings. Works safely at all times utilizing necessary Personal Protection Equipment.

    Determines closet and equipment layouts and installs closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels and fiber enclosures, and balance video equipment.

    Terminates, assembles and installs 8-pin modular connectors and coaxial connectors, lightcrimp connectors and optical fiber ST and/or SC ceramic connectors.

    Tests copper and fiber (multimode and singlemode) cables to required certification parameters utilizing appropriate test equipment as required.

    Diagnoses and corrects copper and optical fiber problems.

    Removes and demolishes abandoned cables.

    Maintains and references industry standards including ANSI, EIA/TIA, and local BICSI and National Electric Code.

    Installs grounding infrastructure and performs grounding tests.

    Performs cable splices for copper and optical fiber (mechanical and fusion).

    Identifies active circuits.

    Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of Logicalis through performing behaviors consistent with the organization's values.

    Perform skilled infrastructure/structured cabling work in the installation, service and maintenance, repair and alteration of low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, communications cabling and other various low voltage cabling systems. Complete physical installations and removal of structured cabling components, cabinets, pathway systems (cable tray), move equipment, racks, and related communications infrastructure materials.

    Responsibilities

    · Perform installation and service of low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, communications cabling, communication equipment and other various low voltage related systems such as Category 3, Category 5, Enhanced Category 5, Category 6 and Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems.

    · Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot cabling infrastructure systems and perform repairs as necessary.

    · Perform upgrades and additions to cabling infrastructure systems in order to increase functionality and usability.

    · Coordinate with other Team Members within North American Commercial Services (NACS) Operations for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
