    **What You Will Do**

    + Removal, repair and installation of electrical components, electrical systems, analysis and diagnosis, advanced troubleshooting and systems/process optimization; may mentor or train other electrical workers

    + Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

    + Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Advise supervisor and or management immediately on whether continued operation of electrical equipment could be hazardous to the facility.

    + Provide assistance during emergencies by operating generators, UPS’s, switchgears, or any other duties to keep facility operating electrically. Respond and troubleshoot electrical equipment problems within the company-owned facilities. Assist in maintaining inspection and maintenance of life safety systems

    + Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes or as directed by supervisor. Insure compliance with federal and state codes. Other duties or projects as assigned or requested

    + Plan layout and install electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.

    + Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
