+ Hustles. You’ll be busy using your unique ability to make connections over the phone with prospective students, parents, high school teachers and community college faculty. Not only will there be potential to travel locally on rare occasions to cover fairs, school visits and presentations, you may get to see other parts of the United States when your support is needed in other states to cover events/activities.

Working independently, you’ll be using your out-of-the-box critical thinking skills to support prospective Grand Canyon University campus students and families through the admissions process, guiding them on the right path towards a successful campus experience.

The role might be right for you if you have:

+ A bachelor’s degree preferred. No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments. Candidates that have 60 college credit hours will be considered.

+ Outstanding time management and organization skills. In this role, you’ll be wearing many hats, so you’ll need to show that not only have you honed your time management skills, you also know how to organize and prioritize competing priorities even while travelling on occasion.

+ Clear communication and engaging presentation skills. You can explain just about anything to anyone and you’re comfortable communicating on the phone, in writing and sometimes in person. You are confident and can engage any audience no matter if you are presenting over the phone, through Zoom or in person. You’ll also need to have well developed listening skills.

+ A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, a flexible schedule and is willing to travel about 20% of the time. Since this role requires being willing to travel as needed locally and out of state to cover events/activities, you’ll need a clean driving record and be willing to travel by car or plane. Sometimes the travel may require overnight stays and it might require evening and/or weekend availability.

+ Computer literacy. We rely on a number of digital tools to help you execute your work and keep you accountable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Cancer Registrar 2 is accountable for case-finding, and abstracting core data items that include pertinent information about the patient, the disease, and its management into an electronic system. Assists in training of registry personnel, adheres to the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) guidelines and requirements for approved programs. Complies with requirements mandated by the Texas State Department of Health Services and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention requirements in terms of timeliness and completeness of reporting. Conducts statistical research related to collection data.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE**

+ Identifies cases for abstraction based on Pathology Reports, HIM Coding reports, Bill Reports, etc.

+ Abstracts data from patient medical record to include patient demographics, diagnostic procedures, history and extent of disease, treatment, follow-up, physician, and other related information.

+ Codes data into database in accordance with protocol requirements.

+ Enters Data of potential cases for abstraction into suspense file in Registry system.

+ Utilizes a variety of resources to perform follow up functions and maintains the follow up percentage as required by the American College of Surgeons.

+ Participates in continuing education programs and in-services to enhance job knowledge and skill set. Educates data collection staff on study requirements and data collection methodology

+ Works closely with Registrars and Registry Manager to ensure operational needs of the facilities are met.

+ Reviews data for accuracy; assembles and disseminates registry data.

+ Coordinates data collection activities; implements data quality control measures

+ Maintains and protects the confidentiality of patient records.

Education and Experience:

Required:

**Responsibilities**

Facilitates the patient admission flow including activities such as: patient identification accurate demographic and insurance information and collections of required signatures and documents. Responsible for the verification and authorization of insurance benefits on all patient accounts through electronic verification system and/or third party payers in order to obtain accurate and prompt reimbursement. **Qualifications**

**Minimum**

The WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor is an amazing role that helps to assists mothers who wish to breastfeed and succeed with their breastfeeding goals, with the goal of breastfeeding individualized for each client to succeed. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

+ High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution

+ Experience with breastfeeding. Must have had success in breastfeeding at least one baby for a least 6 months (does not have to be currently breastfeeding)

+ Certification to perform cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for the Health Care Professional (CPR) and AED through courses that follow the guidelines from the American Heart Association and Red Cross (cognitive and skills evaluations)

+ Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety for all specialty behavioral health locations

+ Must have reliable transportation

+ Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Attend and successfully completes breastfeeding training classes to become a Peer Counselor

+ Receive an assigned caseload of WIC mothers and makes routine and periodic contacts with all mothers assigned.

+ Give basic, accurate, and up to date breastfeeding support and education to new mothers, including telling them about the benefits of breastfeeding, overcoming common barriers, and getting a good start with breastfeeding

+ Counsel WIC pregnant and breastfeeding mothers by telephone, the WIC clinic, and/or hospital visits at scheduled intervals determined by the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Supervisor

+ Flexible work schedule, determined by community supervisors and Breastfeeding Coordinator

+ Show respect to each mother by keeping her information strictly confidential

+ Keep accurate records of all contacts made with WIC mothers

+ Attend and assists with prenatal classes and breastfeeding support groups

+ Attend monthly staff meetings and breastfeeding conferences/workshops as appropriate

+ Read assigned books and materials on breastfeeding that are provided by the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Supervisor and displays an understanding of the concepts presented in those materials

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
